Step 1: Investigate ITV Ventures. Step 2: Get Excited
November 28, 2007 |
I love blogs because it is so easy to follow up on my thoughts from yesterday. Yesterday I wrote about not getting involved in a home business opportunity based on an emotional response. I wrote that with a typical, generic person in mind. Someone who hears about all the money you can (supposedly) make in MLM and who jumps on board because they don’t want to miss out, they deserve to be rich, they want easy money, or some other reason that is not well thought-out.
All night that was going through my head because it really needs to be clarified. I feel you do need to take your emotional response into consideration when making business decisions. Caring about what you do is vital to your success. But just don’t make your excitement the basis for your decision to get involved in ITV Ventures, or any home business.
I suggest that a person needs to look the entire business opportunity over, kick all the tires, take its temperature and then decide it is a good fit for them because they feel they can do what it will take to be successful. That person, hopefully then gets excited about the potential, the products, how they can help others looking for a way to work from home, etc. Their passion is ignited, and it fuels their actions towards building a successful home business.
So to clarify what I meant by not making a decision based on emotion, I do feel you need to be emotionally involved and passionate about the business/work you are doing/thinking about doing. That is what leads successful people to say, I would do this even if I didn’t get paid. Loving what you do is key to staying with it if things get bumpy. It is key to still being there when the dust clears and the money and new friends and new lifestyle begin to flow into your life.
So many people give up just before what they have been working on begins to manifest. Sometimes it is because they run out of money (been there!) but often, in traditional MLM, it is because they are taught inferior ways to approach people about their business, and they burn out from all of the No’s! Traditional MML just cannot match what ITV Ventures offers by way of aquiring customers and other entrepreneurs.
What I like the most is that as an ITV Independent Business Owner (IBO) I can build my business while talking only to people who have called me. I never have to approach (ambush? annoy?) the innocent people in my life who have never even thought about starting their own business and are uncomfortable being approached about it, in order to build my business. That, in my opinion is taking advantage of relationships for profit, it is nothing like recommending a movie or restaurant, and I refuse to do it.
I have been around MLM long enough to know that most people don’t want what I have to offer. I prefer investing my money in buying phone calls from purchase-ready customers and business seekers, over alienating the people I spend holidays with, have worked with or meet out in the world.
We all want to be liked. We all do what we do because we want to grow and progress in life. I do what I do (in this case, share the ITV Ventures business opportunity) because I know there are thousands upon thousands of people out there just like me - who want more from life, who know they deserve to have more time freedom, who worry about bills and wish they didn’t, who have children, who understand that starting any business involves work and attention to get off the ground, who are eager to contribute in a positive way to the world, who feel they are not destined to make other people wealthy for the rest of their days. Sound familiar?
ITV Ventures is a business opportunity. It requires an investment to get started. More than the $25 - $50 that most strictly MLM businesses ask for. Because there is more depth here than in a simple MLM. There is product variety. There is the brilliant fact that our target market, the Baby Boomers, first screen is TV (other screens are computer, cell phone, PDA, and so on).
I read somewhere online, some young entrepreneur blogging about ITV Ventures, who laughed at ITV, saying TV is practically dead, lol! I found that hilarious. TV is not dead to multi-millions of people. It may not appeal to him, a twenty-something, but if he gave it some thought, he would realize that he and his generation are not ITVs target market. But he could benefit from it by becoming an IBO, if only he could see the forest for the trees.
Anyway, this got long. I hope that whatever you are doing with your time, you are enjoying yourself. I hope if you are looking for a change, and think ITV Ventures might be a good fit for you, that you give me a call. I will give you all the facts, all the details about how much working capital I and my team feel is best to get started with, everything you need to make a smart decision that you can then get really excited about!
Great day to you:-)
